David Jacobs-Strain
David Jacobs-Strain is a slide guitarist and modern roots singer-songwriter whose musical journey begins in the wellspring of Delta blues but ranges far afield from there. In his mid-twenties, he already channels age-old wisdom and heartache with such dexterity, energy, and passion that you feel good, even about feeling bad. He tours nationally and has numerous festival credits, which include the Strawberry Music Festival, MerleFest, the Lugano Blues to Bop Festival in Switzerland, the Newport Folk Festival, and the Montreal Jazz Festival. He's also served as faculty at guitar workshops, most notably at Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch. In 2008, Boz Scaggs chose him to open for his summer tour.
Rootdown
Created in 2007 by solo national touring/recording artist Paul Wright while living in San Diego soaking in the southern California culture. Since conception their live show has caused a quick buzz as they have been asked to open for Tyrone Wells, Pepper, The Wailers and many more gracing many different venues.Wright has been touring himself seven years full-time playing alongside bands like TobyMAC, Switchfoot, Shawn McDonald and many more in every state except well Maine. ROOTDOWN's music falls into the "pop/rock/reggae" category of band and genre, a well-developed musical culture with roots stretching back to the early days of Bob Marley, through the years of Sublime, and into today with many different bands spearheading the direction like Pepper and Slightly Stoopid. Think Beastie Boys meets Beach Boys.
Reed Thomas Lawrence
Acoustic rock musician Reed Thomas Lawrence offers that rare jewel to his fans. He writes and plays music that is original and artistic but doesn't lose a drop of pop friendliness in the process of seeking to infuse thoughtfulness and intelligence into the world of music. His vision remains uncompromised while bringing music to the masses that the masses will embrace. Entrancing melodies and singular vocal stylings help elevate Lawrence above the crowd. His music ably references multiple genres, weaving his influences into a cohesive new flavor.
Eric Tollefson
Tollefson grew up in Juneau, Alaska, and began playing guitar at age 8. At 12, he performed at the Juneau Folk Festival. He began writing songs at 18, and attended the University of Montana. While attending college, Tollefson had the opportunity to work in and out of studios crafting songs and learning production.
After college he found home in Bend, OR where he began work on a new album with the help of Clay Smith of Soundsmith Studios. The album's title, "The Sum of Parts," is apropos, being both a collection of his life experiences, and a final product of two years of focused passion. 'Parts' has been recieving radio play in Bend, OR on Clear 101.7 FM, and in Juneau, AK. Since its April release, and subsequent momentum, Tollefson was given the opportunity to showcase his talent with performances at the Breedlove Guitar Festival, The Les Schwab Amphitheater, the Clear 101.7 4th of July Concert in the Park, and Sisters Folk Festival. This has spurned a growth of his already burgeoning fanbase in Central Oregon, where most recently he opened for G. Love and Special Sauce and Jackie Greene.
